Salisbury Steak :)

Salisbury steak is very popular dish in Japan.

Japanese name is “Hamburg” or “Hamburg steak”.

 

  • 280g (9.8 oz) of ground (minced) beef
  • 300g (10.5 oz) of ground (minced) pork
  • 100g (3.5 oz) of onion
  • 40g (1.4 oz) of carrot
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoon of bread crumbs

 

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of Okonomi sauce
  • 2 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon of sake
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 40g of butter

 

3 servings. 🙂

Chopped the vegetables. Mix ground (minced) beef, ground (minced) pork, vegetables and all seasonings.

Knead the meat until it becomes soft.

Shape them like this.

Spread 1 tablespoon of oil a heated frying pan. Cook it in a medium heat and put cover on the frying pan.

Cook both sides. Put a cover on the frying pan again.

Don’t press the meat. 🙂

Take the meat out.

Put all sauce seasonings. (Use the same frying pan) Cook for 3 minutes.

You can use any kind of sauce. Please try it. 🙂
