Okonomiyaki :)

I’m going to tell you about Okonomiyaki recipe 🙂 This is one of my favourite Japanese foods.

 

  • 300g (10.5 oz) of cabbage
  • Pork belly slices
  • Green onions
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup of Okonomiyaki flour
  • 3/4 cup of Water
  • 20g (0.7 oz) of tempura crisps (Tenkasu) ←If you have.
  • Japanese okonomi sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dried fish flakes
  • Dried seaweed flakes (Aonori) ←If you have.

 

2 servings. 🙂

Cutting cabbage and green onions.

↑I used this Okonomiyaki flour and Tenkasu this time. You can use another Okonomiyaki flour and Tenkasu.

Mixing Okonomiyaki flour, eggs, and water. Then add all the ingredients into a bowl.

Ready!!

Spread 1 tablespoon of oil a heated frying pan. And spread half of batter into a circular shape. Put sliced pork belly on top of Okonomiyaki and flip it.

Bake it in a middle heat and put a cover on the frying pan. Cook for 4 or 5 minutes.

If the one side of it seems to be baked, turn it upside down. Put a cover on the pan again and bake another side of it for 4 or 5 minutes.

 

Spread some Okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise on top. Add dried fish flakes and seaweed flakes (If you like).
