Kinpira Gobo is a traditional Japanese dish. Sukiyaki is one of the typical hot pot dishes of Japan. 🙂
Gobo=Burdock
- 150g (5.2 oz) of burdock
- 200g (7.0 oz) of beef (thinly sliced)
- 20g (0.7 oz) of glass noodles
- sesame
- green onion
- 250ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of dashi
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of mirin
- 1 tablespoon of sake
- 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
3 servings. 🙂
Wash and peel the burdock. I usually use knife to peel.
Shave the burdock like this.
Spread 1 tablespoon of sesame oil a heated frying pan. Cook for 5 minutes. (medium heat)
Add water and all seasonings. Cook for 7 minutes.
Add the beef. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add the glass noodles. Cook for 5 minutes.
I love Sukiyaki and Sukiyaki flavor. My foreign friends also loves Sukiyaki. Hope you like Sukiyaki flavor. 🙂
